Key Responsibilities

  • Data Management: Accurately input and update transportation data into our TOPS system, ensuring seamless integration with our operations.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service through effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Route Optimization: Collaborate with drivers and subcontractors to optimize routes, reducing costs and improving delivery times.
  • Transportation Planning: Develop and implement transportation plans that meet customer requirements and company objectives.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with drivers, subcontractors, and customers to ensure timely updates and issue resolution.
  • Booking and Scheduling: Book VBS slots for vehicles to collect containers, ensuring efficient use of resources.

Requirements

  • Logistics Experience: Previous experience in transportation planning, logistics, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in TOPS operating system, DP World VBS system, and shipping containers.
  • Geographical Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK geography and transportation networks.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with the traffic team and other departments to meet daily transport requirements.
