Job Title: Communication and Marketing Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Marketing Manager to lead the delivery of our annual calendar of retail media funded campaigns. As a key member of our John Lewis Retail Media team, you will be responsible for coordinating demand versus opportunity with our channels and aligning with Category Marketing planners to prioritize and coordinate Retail Media funded activity in seasonal marketing campaigns and holistic plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the delivery of the annual calendar of retail media funded campaigns and surface the brand appetite for all JL campaign marketing activity.
  2. Lead the delivery of defined elements within an overall marketing campaign to support the Media Sales team, including the definition of the marketing brief, the channel and media plan, message hierarchy, creative execution, and delivery of the campaign itself being on time and on budget.
  3. Apply communication and influencing skills to work collaboratively with Category Marketing Heads and Planners to elevate supplier participation in brand and seasonal campaigns.
  4. Monitor performance of supplier funded campaigns and utilize your team to prepare PCA reports, working with the Retail Media Sales team to report performance back to suppliers and inform next year plans.
  5. Work to ensure the consistent implementation of activity across marketing and work with implementation teams to enable effective delivery across other functions.

Requirements:

  1. Significant experience in marketing campaign delivery within a retail media environment.
  2. Relevant experience working with external suppliers or agencies to activate media.
  3. Proven experience of effectively servicing brands/clients in a marketing environment.
  4. Experience working with complex projects and influencing multiple stakeholders at a more senior level.
  5. Evidence in strong written and verbal communication.
  6. Experience of delivering to tight deadlines and to great quality.
  7. Further qualifications in marketing or business.
  8. Demonstrates a keen interest in changing trends in the retail media external landscape.
