IT Director of Accounting and Control

Job Type: Part-time, 2-3 days per week
Salary: GBP60-70,000 pro rata
The IT Accounting and Controlling Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day work of capturing IT invoices correctly, allocating them to the right account, cost center, and project, and applying the correct Opex/Capex classification. This role involves coordinating and conducting monthly reporting of Group Function Cost Centres, liaising closely with relevant budget holders, and working within the Group Finance team to ensure accurate and timely processing of accounting transactions for relevant cost centers.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the day-to-day operations of global IT controlling and organize IT reporting.
- Work with existing templates to monitor the impact on business, IT operations, and IT costs.
- Achieve budget objectives by analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
- Provide status of financial condition by collecting, consolidating, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
- Manage IT assets on the Balance Sheet resulting from spending on projects and centralized purchase of licenses and hardware.
- Experience in IT Controlling with progressive experience in budgeting and forecasting.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and implementing process frameworks, management, and analytics.
- Excellent knowledge of International Accounting Standards.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, as well as the ability to solve problems with innovative solutions.
- Experience implementing systems/processes to track baseline operational procedures and advising on direction to reduce baseline operational costs while maintaining quality of service.
