Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join our development team as a TV Drama Producer Intern. In this role, you will be responsible for managing submissions of materials, compiling project-specific research, reading and reporting on books and scripts, and completing rights checks.

You will also provide valuable support with day-to-day administration, including updating databases, managing development-related purchases, and creating and distributing weekly alerts and memos.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in editorial analysis, research, and project strategy, and to learn about the process of developing TV drama.

About the Role
  • Assist the development team in bringing scripted drama from initial idea to greenlight
  • Manage submissions of materials, compile project-specific research, read and report on books and scripts, and complete rights checks
  • Provide valuable support with day-to-day administration, including updating databases, managing development-related purchases, and creating and distributing weekly alerts and memos
  • Develop skills in editorial analysis, research, and project strategy
Requirements
  • Possess a passion for broadcasting and media, particularly film/TV drama, with a desire to develop a career as a TV drama producer or working with writers in script development
  • Have excellent communication (both written and verbal) and strong interpersonal skills
  • Be able to work with confidential materials discreetly and responsibly
  • Have strong IT skills; a confident user of Microsoft Office
