About the Role:

Milestone Infrastructure is seeking a highly skilled Health Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice, guidance, and coaching to our operational teams to ensure the highest levels of health, safety, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise and guide personnel on the implementation of our Health and Safety Management System (HSMS)
  • Ensure contract/project compliance with HSMS and statutory provisions
  • Provide advice on competency requirements in line with HSMS standards
  • Develop and implement Health and Safety plans, including construction phase plans and depot Health and Safety plans
  • Ensure risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are prepared and reviewed as necessary
  • Investigate incidents and identify preventative measures to prevent similar incidents recurring
  • Maintain incident management databases and ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Conduct regular Health and Safety audits and inspections, recording findings and actions
  • Assist in the development, review, and update of Health and Safety processes and procedures
  • Support business development and work winning initiatives
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in Health and Safety

Requirements:

Essential:

Previous experience in health and safety

Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent

Technician or Graduate membership of IOSH

Desirable:

Working towards chartered membership of IOSH

NEBOSH Diploma or NEBOSH National Certificate in the Management of Health and Well-being at Work
