About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Events Coordinator to join our dynamic events team at World Jewish Relief. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth running and successful management of our events portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Planning and Coordination: Support the events team in planning, coordinating, and administering World Jewish Relief events, including our flagship Annual Dinner.
  • Event Management: Manage and lead on the planning of smaller engagement and fundraising events, both in-person and online.
  • Stewardship and Donor Support: Support and assist donors who are planning events to raise funds for World Jewish Relief.
  • Partnership and Collaboration: Liaise with colleagues and partners to organize supporter Insight Trips, create itineraries, book transport, and manage all details.
  • Event Participation: Work with the communications team to organize World Jewish Relief's participation at communal events and attend these events.
  • Challenge Event Management: Manage and lead on stewardship of World Jewish Relief runners in the London Marathon and other challenge event activities.
  • Fundraising Initiative: Work with the fundraising and marketing team to launch and deliver a new fundraising initiative supporting World Jewish Relief's Home Repairs programmes in Ukraine.
Requirements
  • Event Planning Experience: Proven experience in event planning, coordination, and delivery to a high standard, preferably within the non-profit sector.
  • Event Fundraising Knowledge: Demonstrable knowledge of event fundraising techniques and sector trends.
  • Database Management: Experience using a database (ideally Raiser's Edge) to the highest level, both to record and analyze information.
  • Time Management: Experience in successfully managing numerous priorities at one time, meeting tight and non-negotiable deadlines.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Administrative Skills: Excellent administrative skills, impeccable accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Initiative and Decision-Making: The ability to use your own initiative, make quick and independent decisions where necessary, and work under pressure.
