About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our Community Connector team at Aquarius. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing advice, support, and advocacy to individuals struggling with alcohol and drug misuse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide key work and recovery planning for individuals
  • Undertake elements of assessment and case management as directed
  • Operate in a way that recognises and values diversity and understands the functional model of substance misuse
  • Work in a client-centred approach to providing services

Requirements:

  • NVQ 2/3 in Social Care or willingness to attain
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and fulfill data requirements
  • Flexible approach and commitment to taking a client-centred approach

Aquarius is a charity that helps people and communities overcome the harm caused by alcohol, drugs, and gambling. We are part of 'One Recovery Buckinghamshire' (ORB), a partnership between Inclusion (MPFT NHS Trust), Aquarius, and Build on Belief providing support for alcohol and drug issues across Buckinghamshire.
