Job Title: Clinical Educator

Estimated Salary: 85000 - 100000 per year.

Vancouver Community College (VCC) seeks a part-time clinical educator to work in the traditional unceded territories of the xwməθkwəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and səlilwətaɬ peoples. The successful candidate will oversee faculty members regarding student documentation, including academic integrity policies.

  • Clinical, lab, and theory coverage as required.
  • Completion of faculty performance appraisals in consultation with the Department Head.
  • Mentoring new faculty members to roles, responsibilities, and the BSN Philosophy and Curriculum Framework.
  • Supporting faculty members with incorporating Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles into their teaching practices.
Required Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or Registered Nurse (RN) Diploma with a relevant degree, or a Bachelor of Science in Psychiatric Nursing (BSPN) or Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing with a relevant degree.
  • A Master's degree in Nursing/Education or related/equivalent; PhD considered an asset.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated experience in teaching and/or mentoring adult learners in clinical settings aligned with the VCC BSN Philosophy and Curriculum Framework.
  • Knowledge of the BCCNM Updated Entry Level competencies, including key areas such as trauma-informed care, harm reduction, cultural safety, health equity advocacy.
