About the Role

This is a rewarding opportunity to work with a neurodivergent population, supporting pupils with complex social and emotional needs, as well as those with complex language and communication difficulties.

As a Pupil Support Officer, you will work closely with teaching staff, allied health professionals, and outside agencies to provide a holistic approach to supporting our pupils.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with a range of needs, including those with autism, ADHD, and other neurodevelopmental disorders
  • Build relationships with pupils, staff, and families to promote a positive and inclusive school culture
  • Assist with de-escalation techniques and provide emotional support to pupils in crisis
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with children with additional needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Calming and de-escalation techniques
