Job Profile

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team at the NHS. As a key member of our dispensing team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective management of medicines for our patients.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the achievement of the practices prescribing Quality and Outcomes Framework targets, updating and maintaining accurate patient medication records, and working closely with the Clinical Pharmacist, Community Pharmacists, and Clinicians in accordance with agreed practice prescribing standard operating procedures.

  • Regular liaison with community and acute hospital pharmacists.
  • Support staff in the promotion of healthy lifestyles and support those with chronic diseases to develop good lifestyle changes to assist in the management of their conditions.
  • Assist in the development of relationships with secondary care, community specialists, and community pharmacists.
  • Support medication changes from secondary care or community specialists in line with the practice policies.
Requirements

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, applicants should have:

  • A strong understanding of pharmacy services and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work outside of core office hours.
  • Clean driving licence for cross-site working.

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
