Academic Head of Year

Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced and dedicated Academic Head of Year to join our team. As a key member of our education department, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the futures of the young people in a specific year group both academically and pastorally.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor students' performance and provide incisive support and intervention for the year group you lead.
- Supervise breakfast, break, and lunchtime for the year group.
- Promote good attendance, punctuality, and behavior across the whole year group through various strategies.
- Work closely with staff on intervention strategies, targeting students for intervention and supporting those with issues that may present a barrier to learning.
- Excellent communication skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and external agencies.
- Outstanding leadership skills to provide young people with excellent opportunities to achieve exceptional outcomes.
- A positive outlook, self-driven, and able to motivate others.
