About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Defence Manager to lead our cybersecurity efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a secure digital environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy to protect our IT environment.
  2. Implement and maintain security policies, protocols, and standards.
  3. Manage real-time threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability assessments.
  4. Deploy security solutions and collaborate with internal teams.
  5. Work with external security partners to ensure high-quality support and proactive risk management.
  6. Provide regular security metrics reports to senior management.
  7. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  1. CISSP, CISM, or similar professional certification.
  2. Significant experience in cybersecurity management within a medium-to-large organisation.
  3. Extensive knowledge of security technologies, risk assessment, and vulnerability management.
  4. Experience with security monitoring tools and incident response.
  5. Familiarity with compliance standards such as ISO 27001, GDPR, and NIST frameworks.
  6. Strong analytical and communication skills.

Location: Cambridge (90% remote) Estimated Salary Range: £75,000 + Bonus
