Environmental Specialist Opportunity

Acorn by Synergie Careers is seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist to join their client based in the North West region.

This role reports directly to the Process Safety Manager and is responsible for ensuring current awareness with relevant environmental issues is maintained through liaison with relevant organisations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing the site environmental permit and preparing correspondence to the regulator or applications for variations as required.
  • Developing and implementing waste minimisation plans for multiple sites.
  • Providing guidance and support on environmental legislation and internal environmental standards.
  • Developing and implementing the environmental strategy and performance metrics.
  • Collaborating with the quality and health and safety team on improvement projects.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role within a chemical manufacturing environment, with experience in auditing and knowledge of ISO 14001. Knowledge of ISO 50001 Energy Management is highly desirable.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with a salary dependent on knowledge and experience.
