About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technician to join our Data and Analytics Service team at NHS National Services Scotland. As a key member of our delivery team, you will play a critical role in supporting the strategic direction for better use of data to drive service delivery and outcomes across Scotland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and build innovative data, business intelligence, and analytics solutions to support our customers.
  • Assist in the technical analysis of requirements and specifications to ensure seamless integration with our existing systems.
  • Design and implement complex data processing and data wrangling routines to extract insights from large datasets.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to build enterprise-wide business intelligence front-end solutions that meet their needs.
  • Contribute to service improvement initiatives and proactively identify opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Engage with users and colleagues across the business intelligence team to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience of implementing innovative data, business intelligence, and analytics solutions.
  • Knowledge of building data products, including ETL/ELT processes.
  • Strong coding skills, with the ability to write and manage code for data analysis and processing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality results.
  • A desire to make a positive impact and contribute to the success of our team.
  • A willingness to learn and grow, with a commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in business intelligence and analytics.
