We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transfer Station Supervisor to join our team at Biffa. Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and guidance to transfer station operatives to ensure production targets are met.
- Manage mobile plant operations, including maintenance and repair.
- Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and site permits.
- Contribute to cost control and efficiency improvements.
- Manage and develop a team of transfer station operatives.
- Implement health and safety procedures and ensure all staff are trained and aware of their responsibilities.
- Manage absence and underperformance, and implement disciplinary procedures as necessary.
- Complete administrative tasks, including daily site checks and weekly sales orders.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels during operational hours.
- Maintain a good working relationship with internal and external customers.
- WAMITAB Certificate of Technical Competence (desirable).
- Experience of managing front-line staff.
- Good working knowledge of environmental and health and safety legislation.
- Computer literate and comfortable using Microsoft Office.
