About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Practitioner to join our team at East Kent Colleges Group. As a Learning Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting students with high levels of need, providing individualized support to help them achieve their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to students with Autism Spectrum Condition, Social, Emotional and Mental health needs, Global learning delay, Language & Communication, Sensory, Physical needs
  • Work in small groups and during lectures to support students with complex needs
  • Assist with personal care, mobility, and specific medical/feeding needs
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure seamless support

Requirements
  • Passion for supporting students with high levels of need
  • Previous experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Condition, Social, Emotional and Mental health needs, Global learning delay, Language & Communication, Sensory, Physical needs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults
