About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Practitioner to join our team at Ashford College. As a Learning Support Practitioner, you will provide support to students with high learning needs, including those with Autism Spectrum Condition, Social, Emotional and Mental health needs, and Global learning delay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with high learning needs
  • Assist students with their programme of study, work placement, and welfare/personal care needs
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to ensure students receive the best possible support
  • Develop and maintain relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Condition and other high learning needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults
