**Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cable Installation Specialist to join our team. As a Cable Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for building and maintaining new and existing Core Telecommunications Access Networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain fibre, copper, and CATV cables to client specifications using telecoms installation and test equipment.
- Work on internal databases to record actions and daily whereabouts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Represent the company in a professional and helpful manner when interacting with service providers, end users, members of the public, and Virgin Media employees.
- Adhere to Virgin Media quality standards, which will be provided by the company at audit.
- Record changes and updates made as a result of work carried out, updating the company with details on task closure.
- Work safely, adhering to regulations such as the National Roads and Street Works Act.
- Ensure all equipment used meets recognised safety standards, including tools and testers.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work within a team.
- Be able to prioritise, organise, and manage tasks.
- Experience or willingness to learn key aspects of telecommunications infrastructure.
- Good observational and analytical skills, with a good eye for detail.
- Well-presented and have good presentation skills.
- Must have good IT skills, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Must be holding a Full Clean Valid UK Driving License for a minimum of 1 year.
