Job Title: Financial Controller Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller Assistant to join our team at Leonardo SpA. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Financial Controller in the preparation of sector monthly forecasts, monitoring financial performance, and providing expert advice to project teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Financial Controller in the preparation of sector monthly forecasts, including assumptions, risks, and opportunities.
  • Monitor financial performance through the Monthly Forecast and Business Planning/Budget processes.
  • Work with project teams and budget holders to understand forecast, business plans, and CSR movements.
  • Reconcile financial data and resolve problems/issues to ensure the integrity of information provided.
  • Liaise with Commercial Officers to provide up-to-date debtor information and facilitate the chasing of overdue balances.
  • Provide support to project teams and the Financial Controller in closing down completed projects, including attendance at project closure meetings and completing the finance section of the process document.
  • Administer SAP, providing support to the Financial Controller by inputting amendments into the system, particularly the tidy-up of trading against completed projects.
  • Ensure all financial procedures and controls are applied as required and support non-finance functions on their application.
  • Proactively seek to improve local processes and working practices to drive efficiencies across the team and wider business.
Requirements:
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.
  • Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Focus on high-quality output and support.
  • Advanced Excel and proficient in MS Office.
  • SAP experience is advantageous.
