Civil Engineering Quantity Surveyor Job

North Yorkshire, Salary up to £81,000 per annum

This exciting opportunity is for a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to work on student accommodation projects in North and West Yorkshire. Key responsibilities include:

  • Contractual risk analysis and advice.
  • Managing additional works and scope within projects.
  • Preparing contractual correspondence and notices.
  • Negotiating with clients and their representatives.
  • Cost control, management, and comparisons against budget and tender allowances.
  • Producing financial reports, including CVR's, cash flow forecasts, and site costs.
  • Negotiating interim applications, valuations, and final accounts.
  • Providing commercial support and guidance to project teams.
  • Collaborating with project planners to develop contract programmes.
  • Leading and mentoring site QS's and head office resources.
  • Coordinating general administration and management of subcontractors and consultants.
  • Participating in project meetings and maintaining accurate site records.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
  • Negotiation and communication skills.
  • Able to implement new processes and improve efficiency.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
