About the Role:
In this role, you will establish, plan, and maintain a data governance framework, including roles, responsibilities, processes, and escalation procedures. You will collaborate with stakeholders to define, adopt, and enforce data quality standards ensuring data completeness, accuracy, integrity, and timeliness. Additionally, you will monitor and evaluate data usage and access controls to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures
- Establish and maintain a data governance framework
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and enforce data quality standards
- Monitor and evaluate data usage and access controls

About You:
We are looking for an individual with a good understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices. You should have knowledge of data management concepts, including data quality, data architecture, privacy, and security. Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to data handling in financial services, including BCBS239 and GDPR, is also essential. Experience of data management standards, such as DAMA, DCAM, and CDMC, is desirable. Project management skills to lead data governance initiatives are also required.

What We Offer:
Metro Bank Plc offers a competitive salary of approximately £85,000 per annum, along with discretionary annual bonus, generous holiday allowance, attractive pension scheme, healthcare, life assurance, and colleague discounts. We also provide opportunities for training and career progression, with around 40% of our recruitment coming from internal promotions. Most of our jobs offer hybrid working arrangements built around your role and home life, wherever possible.

Salary: £85,000 - £100,000 per annum
