A financially stable and dynamic company, Marc Daniels, is currently seeking a highly skilled Group Financial Accounting Manager to lead their finance team.

Job Summary:

This is a newly created role that will be responsible for preparing, developing, and analysing all financial information. The successful candidate will also lead the preparation of the statutory accounts for the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Statutory accounts and consolidations: Prepare and deliver high-quality statutory accounts and consolidations within tight deadlines.
  • Management Accounts and Finance Board Pack: Own and deliver the Management Accounts and Finance Board Pack every period, providing accurate and timely financial information.
  • Variance analysis and commentary: Provide variance analysis and commentary for any deviations to budget/forecast/last year, ensuring stakeholders are informed.
  • Interim and annual audit files: Prepare interim and annual audit files, maintaining the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Budgets and financial forecasts: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, identifying areas of risk and opportunity.
  • Financial controls: Develop and maintain financial controls around accounting systems and policies, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  • Cost monitoring: Maintain schedules to monitor and control capital spend, repairs and maintenance spend, occupancy costs, utilities spend, IT costs, and any other major costs.
  • Reconciliations and analysis: Prepare reconciliations and analysis to support monthly business reviews and balance sheet reviews.
  • Ad-hoc finance support: Provide a support service by working with all departments and the Management Team to help make financial decisions.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Qualified ACA or ACCA.
  • Experience: Experienced in the production of statutory accounts using CCH or Sage.
  • Accounting processes: An understanding of accounting processes, including risks and controls.
  • Communication skills: Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Motivation and drive: A high level of self-motivation and drive.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work to tight timescales.
What We Offer:

Marc Daniels offers a competitive salary package, including an estimated £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a permanent position that provides opportunities for growth and development in a dynamic and supportive environment.
