About the Role

This is a maternity cover fixed-term contract, offering a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on the business. As Chief Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing a team of Financial Accountants, working closely with Business Finance leadership to drive growth and profitability. You will attend key business finance meetings, ensuring a deep understanding of performance and balance sheet metrics.

Your expertise will be crucial in supporting Business Finance on technical accounting matters, providing accurate guidance and challenging judgmental decisions. You will also work collaboratively with the Financial Reporting Team to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of Financial Accountants, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Work closely with Business Finance leadership to drive growth and profitability, leveraging your technical accounting expertise.
  • Attend key business finance meetings, ensuring a deep understanding of performance and balance sheet metrics.
  • Support Business Finance on technical accounting matters, providing accurate guidance and challenging judgmental decisions.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Reporting Team to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting.
Requirements

We are seeking an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant or equivalent, with big 4 external audit experience preferable. Your technical accounting skills, combined with your ability to build strong relationships and drive results, make you an ideal candidate for this role.
