Are you passionate about supporting students with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) in their higher education journey? Do you have excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as experience working with students in higher or further education?

About the Role

We are seeking a Specialist Mentor (ASC) to join our team at Beacon Support Ltd. and provide one-on-one support to students with disabilities and mental health conditions in their higher education studies. As a Specialist Mentor, you will work closely with students to understand their individual needs and develop tailored support plans.

Job Description

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide highly specialised support to students with ASC in their higher education studies
  • Assist students in developing coping strategies and techniques to overcome disability-related difficulties
  • Work closely with students to understand their individual needs and develop tailored support plans
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Experience working with students in higher or further education
  • A relevant degree/PG cert (Autism)/Masters (Autism/Disability)
  • NAS 6 modules and NADP Working Effectively with Autistic University Students course
Salary and Benefits

The hourly rate for this role is £30 - £40 per hour, and you will also receive a dynamic CPD programme with regular training events, thorough induction training and staff development. This is a flexible role that can be adapted to suit your needs.
