About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Quality and Assurance Manager to join our team at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Mental Health, Learning Disability and Autism team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of clinical quality and assurance across our services.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to our clinical quality and assurance activities, ensuring compliance with national standards and guidelines.
- Develop and implement effective monitoring and assurance strategies to ensure the quality of care provided to patients with learning disabilities and autism.
- Work closely with our citywide partners to ensure that citizens with learning disabilities and autism receive safe and effective care in the community, rather than being admitted to hospital unnecessarily.
- Oversee the local arrangements for Care (Education) and Treatment Reviews (C(E)TRs) and act as Chair of the C(E)TR Panel when required.
- Support the development of local processes to ensure we meet national requirements for C(E)TRs, LAEPs, and the DSR.
- Lead on the analysis of system issues and challenges in the community, feeding into the LDA Board.

Person Specification
Essential
- RMN or RNLD with current UK NMC Registration
- Evidence of post-registration study and qualifications relevant to the role
- Evidence of undertaking monitoring and assurance in healthcare settings
Desirable
- Evidence of masters or equivalent study
- A sound knowledge base of CETRS / LAEPS / Issues relevant to LDA Programme
