Position Overview

Role Summary

We are in search of a Process Optimization Lead who will be responsible for enhancing the utilization of our innovative omnichannel digital platform, fostering ongoing enhancements to deliver an exceptional digital pet care experience for our customers.

In this capacity, you will serve as a key advocate and internal authority on setup, data management, processes, and workflows. Your responsibilities will include defining and executing new colleague business systems and processes, ensuring they are well-documented, resilient, and aligned with organizational objectives, while also providing effective training for all users. You will collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address challenges, work alongside vendors to explore new functionalities, and assist Product Owners in delivering new features for both consumers and the business.

Primary Responsibilities

Assist in the development of the roadmap and functionalities for colleague solutions based on stakeholder insights, vendor opportunities, and support the Product team in delivering new consumer features. Responsible for establishing data-driven product discovery and requirements, ensuring collaborative engagement across the broader team. Accountable for constructing the value proposition and objectives for colleague development to facilitate prioritization, functionality, and sequencing. Ensure the implementation of Enterprise solutions that can evolve over time to support broader business applications. Oversee the transition from legacy systems to new solutions. Manage the Product Backlog for colleague developments, gathering and prioritizing requirements for integration into the overall Product roadmap. Responsible for creating user stories and ensuring they are adequately prepared for development initiation. Ensure that each user story includes appropriate acceptance criteria. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to approve product developments. Implement necessary business readiness activities for product launches. Prioritize the resolution of defects or bugs. Facilitate effective handover to various teams including Marketing, Trading, Digital Operations, Veterinary Services, Grooming, Pet Care Centres, and IT Support. Measure performance to assess whether objectives have been met and recommend further enhancements. Ensure that new colleague systems and processes/workflows are thoroughly documented, approved, and can be managed for future changes. Conduct timely training sessions for business teams as new functionalities and processes are introduced. Engage in reviews with colleagues to identify improvements for inclusion in the product backlog. Collaborate effectively with others to cultivate efficient working practices throughout the product development lifecycle.

Candidate Profile

Educational Background – Required:


• Degree or equivalent qualification (BTec/HND etc.)

Professional Experience:

The ideal candidate will possess:

Expertise in developing and implementing new processes and workflows. Experience in a digital environment, including setting objectives, defining requirements, prioritization, and measuring outcomes. A proven history of identifying, implementing, and delivering change within complex organizational structures. A strong focus on customer and colleague needs, with a track record of meeting these objectives. The ability to analyze intricate scenarios and devise suitable solutions. Experience in user story design, estimation, and planning.

Detail-oriented and comfortable with systems, data, and processes. Capable of building relationships with all stakeholders, including delivery team members, while possessing the authority to make significant decisions when necessary. This requires clear communication and strong negotiation skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical language and vice versa. Ready to engage immediately and establish credibility in new situations. Open, collaborative, and able to facilitate the exchange of ideas among team members. Skilled in working across various internal functions and external partners, building trust and rapport with counterparts. Motivated, with a desire to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Results-oriented, with a focus on driving improvements and taking action.
