Accountant - Strategic Projects

We are currently seeking an Accountant to join our finance team at the Diocese of Canterbury. As an Accountant - Strategic Projects, you will be responsible for managing restricted funds and preparing monthly reports and year-end schedules.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in accountancy or a related field, with experience in financial management and budgeting. You should also have advanced knowledge of Excel and be proficient in interpreting financial entries to understand the nature of financial transactions.

This is a full-time contract, working 35 hours per week. The salary for this role is £32,000 pa plus excellent benefits.

You will work closely with the Head of Finance to ensure that all financial reports are accurate and up-to-date. You will also be responsible for reviewing the portfolio of restricted funds to ensure full utilisation against unrestricted expenditure.
