Your responsibilities as a Pharmacy Assistant include:

  • Assisting in the dispensing of medications under the supervision of a pharmacist, maintaining meticulous accuracy and adherence to legal requirements
  • Providing exceptional customer service, ensuring all patients feel heard, supported, and valued
  • Contributing to the pharmacy team by maintaining an organised and efficient workflow
  • Managing inventory by organising stocking and ensuring the integrity of pharmaceuticals
  • Utilising computer systems for processing prescriptions, managing stock levels, and handling customer queries
  • Maintaining a spotless and orderly pharmacy environment

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A foundation of pharmacy knowledge, with a preference for those holding an NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent experience
  • Exceptional customer service skills, displaying warmth, empathy, and patience
  • A keen eye for detail, ensuring the accuracy and safety of all pharmacy operations
  • Strong teamwork capabilities, thriving in a collaborative work setting
  • Computer literacy, comfortable with learning and utilising various pharmacy software systems
  • Outstanding communication traits, ability to problem-solve, and the initiative to adapt quickly in a bustling environment
