About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Safety Specialist to join our team at Orbit Group. As a key member of our Corporate Services department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, customers, and partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend meetings and audits with Fire Safety Authorities to discuss and challenge outcomes.
  • Support the group-wide assurance on CDM and Building Safety compliance, liaising with external agencies as required.
  • Complete FRA's, FRA Audits, and other necessary audits as needed.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and support on health and safety-related issues, primarily fire safety, and deliver Health and Safety training to staff as required.
  • Assist in reviewing and reporting on Health & Safety Compliance across the organisation.
  • Liaise with internal customers and external agencies, attending Health & Safety Committees as necessary.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Qualified and competent to undertake Fire Risk Assessments and Inspections of occupied buildings, with sound knowledge of Fire Safety Regulation, best practice, and latest industry standards.
  • Willing and able to travel.
  • Knowledge and understanding of current health and safety legislation, regulations, and codes of practice.
  • Experience of effectively delivering and monitoring H&S activity across a multi-site organisation.
