Job Title: Simulation Systems Engineer

At Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team, we are a team of passionate and enthusiastic people who work together to design and develop the cars driven by seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton and Grand Prix winner George Russell.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Simulation and analysis of a car system, acting as the primary contact for all requests relating to that system and ensuring all requirements are understood and met.
  2. Close collaboration with Design, Test and Development, Dyno and Trackside Engineering to verify and validate that the specification of the system meets the requirements.
  3. Detailed documentation of the simulation and analysis that has been performance and reporting of results in a concise manner to inform stakeholders of outcomes.
  4. Continuous development and improvement of simulation and analysis tools and processes to improve efficiency, fidelity and further our understanding of performance and reliability.
Candidate Profile:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Simulation Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have:

  1. An engineering or physics degree, or equivalent qualification(s).
  2. Demonstrable experience of working in a high-performance engineering environment across multiple functions.
Desirable Skills:

The following skills would be advantageous:

  1. Experience in coding to automate processes, manage data, and visualise information.
  2. Ability to creatively present data in formats that make it accessible and understandable to a wide range of stakeholders and business areas.
