JGA Recruitment Group is partnering with a leading retail brand to find a Payroll Manager on a fixed-term contract to oversee their payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the overall payroll operations of two internal payroll functions.
- Provide legislative and technical payroll advice.
- Ensure timely and accurate payments and deductions.
- Oversee statutory reporting and compliance.
- Reconcile and approve payments to HMRC.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Train and develop payroll team members.
Requirements:
- CIPP or equivalent Payroll Manager Qualification or relevant experience.
- Extensive payroll management experience within a high-volume setting, of at least 5,000 employees.
- Large team leadership experience.
- Knowledge of payroll practices, HMRC issues, and year-end processes.
- Advanced Excel and reporting/analysis skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Highly organized and able to meet tight deadlines.
