Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Pastry Chef to join our team at a 4-star establishment in Ireland. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for creating new and exciting desserts, managing your pastry team, and ensuring consistency and quality in our products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create new and innovative desserts to renew our menus and engage our customers
  • Prepare a wide variety of goods, including plated desserts, cakes, cookies, pies, and breads
  • Work with the head chef to manage food costs and ensure responsible use of resources
  • Manage your pastry team to ensure consistency and quality in our products
  • Utilize our organic garden and local suppliers to encapsulate our ethos and drive for quality
  • Maintain a clean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards
  • Follow and adhere to HACCP compliance within the kitchen
  • Assist with the development and training of junior colleagues within the pastry team

About You

We are looking for a Senior Pastry Chef with 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume environment. You will have excellent communication and organizational skills, a calm and professional demeanor, and a passion for delivering great products. You will also have great people skills and experience of managing large teams.
