Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pastry Chef to join our team at Mise en Place. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and delicious desserts that showcase our commitment to quality and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new dessert menus that reflect the changing seasons and local artisan suppliers
  • Lead a team of pastry chefs to ensure consistency and quality in all pastry products
  • Work closely with the head chef to manage food costs and maintain a responsible approach to pastry department expenses
  • Collaborate with the owners and senior kitchen team to drive menu innovation and customer engagement
  • Maintain a clean and orderly cooking station, adhering to health and safety standards and HACCP compliance
  • Assist in the development and training of junior colleagues within the pastry team

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a senior pastry chef, preferably in a high-volume environment. You will have excellent communication and organizational skills, a calm and professional demeanor, and a passion for delivering exceptional products. You will also have great people skills and experience managing large teams, with a stable working history and excellent checkable references.
