Job Summary:
This Addiction Treatment Specialist position involves overseeing patient health care in a Methadone/Suboxone Treatment program. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of opioid addiction and be able to make informed decisions regarding patient care. Key responsibilities include conducting follow-up consultations, adjusting medical dosages, ordering and reviewing lab work, and making referrals.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Orient new patients to our services, identify their needs, and provide recommendations for local physicians and services.
  2. Conduct thorough physical examinations and provide necessary documentation.
  3. Act as a resource person for decisions, planning, and policies affecting patient and staff health.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date outpatient records, record statistics, and conduct research as needed.
  5. Collaborate with staff to identify patient needs and develop effective plans to meet these needs.
Compensation:
$85,000 - $105,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.

Education and Experience:
  1. Successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner or physician assistant program.
  2. Current approval by the joint Board of Medical Examiners and Board of Nursing to perform medical acts.
  3. Currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state.
  4. Prior experience in counseling and teaching is highly desirable, along with a master's degree.
Working Conditions:
Able to lift 10 pounds for routine performance of essential functions. May be exposed to adverse indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, bloodborne pathogens, physical hazards, and chemical hazards.
