Job Title: Asset and Information Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asset and Information Officer to join our Corporate Information Governance Team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the Council's compliance with relevant legislation and policy, including Freedom of Information, Data Protection, Records Management, and data security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Retrieving and preparing information for release in line with Data Protection legislation and supporting the release of information for Freedom of Information requests.
  • Ensuring records in the archives are kept in a secure manner and in compliance with legislative requirements for retention and destruction.
  • Working effectively as part of a team to achieve the team's objectives.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of work relating to Freedom of Information, Data Protection, Records Management, data security, and information governance practices.

What We Offer:
