About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Angular Developer to join our team at ECOM. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development of our web applications using the Angular framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of frontend developers and ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Engineering to drive technical decisions and strategy.
  • Work closely with product teams to refine requirements and provide technical leadership.
  • Define and implement web development strategy.
  • Lead by example in frontend development, demonstrating best practices.
Technical Requirements
  • Strong experience with the Angular framework.
  • Utilise TDD practices and write unit tests using Jasmine and Karma.
  • In-depth knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, design patterns, and object-oriented programming.
  • Proficient in HTML5, CSS, and SCSS.
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as Cognito, Cloudfront, and Lambda is a plus.
About You
  • 3+ years of experience managing a team of frontend developers (preferably using Angular).
  • A willingness to remain hands-on, with a 50/50 split between team management and hands-on coding.
  • Expertise in software engineering best practices, including design patterns, microservice architectures, and secure-by-design approaches.
  • Excellent work planning, time management, and prioritisation skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, punctuality, and reliability.
  • A background in dynamic environments, with scale-up experience a huge plus.
  • A proactive leader who can motivate and get people behind them.
  • An individual who can work well with ambiguity and drive projects to completion.
  • A team player who can effectively collaborate with other tech professionals and product teams.
