About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Damage Assessor to join our team in Basildon. As a Vehicle Damage Assessor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective repair of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work within site guidelines to ensure the workflow of job cards meets volume targets and identify fast-track repairs.
  • Ensure parts orders are accurate and follow purchase procedures.
  • Review repair methodologies to ensure all repairs are cost-effective.
  • Collaborate with policyholders and Direct Line Group engineering functions for borderline repairable or beyond economical repair vehicles.
  • Provide service level agreements, ensuring customers are contacted regarding repairs and non-related damage.
  • Ensure Health and Safety regulations and company procedures are followed.
  • Achieve and maintain standard methodology and lean activities as instructed by business strategy.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of Thatcham repair methods, Audatex, and ATA qualification.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet targets.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
