Job Overview

Southeastern is seeking a Trainee Conductor to join our team. As a Trainee Conductor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of our passengers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet passengers and check tickets
  • Communicate with the train driver and handle any issues that may arise
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve problems in a professional manner

Training and Development

As a Trainee Conductor, you will undergo comprehensive training and development to equip you with the skills and knowledge required for the role. This will include classroom-based learning and on-the-job training.

Requirements

  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  • Experience in face-to-face customer service and handling cash transactions
  • Excellent communication and IT skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and make good decisions

Working Arrangements

As a Trainee Conductor, you will work a varied shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays. You will be based at our depot in Tonbridge and will be required to live within a 15-mile radius of the depot.
