About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Section Supervisor Track to join our team at Network Rail. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of work on our rail network.

Key Responsibilities

* Supervise and check the quality of work delivered to ensure compliance with standards
* Carry out work safely and in accordance with safe systems of work procedures, method statements, and other instructions
* Adhere to company policies and procedures
* Undertake specific inspections in accordance with standards as directed
* Prioritize work arising
* Prepare work and resource specifications and method statements, including Safe System of Work Plans
* Assist in the development of work plans that enable work to be delivered safely, efficiently, and compliant to standards
* Assist in the identification and proposal of asset renewals
* Assist in the allocation of resources
* Deliver work in accordance with relevant maintenance plans
* Provide appropriate information to update systems, databases, and records

Requirements

* Experience of directing and supervising worksites and the safe and efficient delivery of work
* Knowledge of resource and work organisation/planning processes and systems
* Knowledge and experience of rail testing & lubrication inspection, maintenance, renewal, and asset condition assessment techniques
* Knowledge of relevant standards, procedures, and instructions
* Awareness of cost and waste control techniques
* Ability to demonstrate, promote, and embed safe working behaviours within the team
* Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
* Ability to coach, influence, and develop others
* Hold and retain competencies relevant to this post and required by business need
* Ideally hold (or be working towards) an NVQ level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject or have attained the appropriate level of knowledge gained through equivalent relevant experience
* Ability and willingness to drive vehicles as required by business need
