Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive upper and lower gastrointestinal services, focusing on day case procedures.
  • Perform endoscopic procedures under local anaesthesia, with or without sedation.
  • Engage in direct patient care for 36 hours weekly, alongside 4 hours dedicated to supportive activities, with flexibility to meet local service demands.

About the Facility:

The Centre not only specializes in gastroenterology but also offers outpatient and elective day case services in various medical fields, including orthopaedics, ophthalmology, oral surgery, ENT, and general surgery.

Equipped with five operating rooms and a dedicated endoscopy suite, the facility ensures high standards of care with advanced technology.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Registration on the GMC Specialist Register.
  • Demonstrated experience in a specialist department managing upper and lower gastrointestinal conditions.
  • Proven ability to provide expert clinical insights in elective gastroenterology based on extensive experience.
  • Capability to independently oversee the clinical care of patients.
  • Experience in leading and managing a multi-professional healthcare team.
