Support Worker Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Haywards Heath. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to individuals with learning disabilities and/or epilepsy, enabling them to lead fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centered support to individuals, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Assist with daily tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care, as required.
  • Support individuals to access community facilities, attend appointments, and engage in leisure activities.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, their families, and other professionals.
  • Contribute to a safe and healthy environment, adhering to health and safety protocols and regulations.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with adults with learning disabilities and/or epilepsy.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and build strong relationships with individuals and colleagues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing situations.
