We are seeking a highly experienced Accountant to join our team in Ayrshire on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building strong relationships with clients through regular visits, requiring excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Posting records and/or trial balance to accounting software
  • Analysing financial data on Excel where required
  • Checking and reconciling bank accounts, debtors/creditors control accounts and VAT accounts.
  • Assisting with the preparation of management accounts for limited companies and unincorporated businesses, including client visits.
  • Performing audit work, including detailed substantive testing and analytical review
  • Preparing business tax computation for unincorporated businesses
  • Preparing corporation tax computation for limited companies
  • Filing VAT returns for clients and submitting documents
  • Filing annual returns on Companies House
  • Bookkeeping work required in account preparation and assisting clients as needed.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of relevant experience in a professional accountancy firm, along with a full driving licence for frequent travel to clients' premises.
