Job Description

We are seeking a Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and participating in ward based pharmacy services in conjunction with clinical and patient services staff
  • Maintaining compliance with King's policies and procedures for Medicines Management Pharmacy Technicians
  • Managing calls and requests as appropriate for the pharmacy team, via the Wifi phones
  • Managing and supporting the safe, accurate and timely supply of medicines to wards and clinics, and other areas as required, by managing the medication supply chain in conjunction with Pharmacy team members, Stores and Distribution staff
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • NVQ Level 3 plus accredited underpinning knowledge [BTEC in Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent] or equivalent
  • Registered as a pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) qualification (or to be achieved within 12 months of commencement)
  • Significant experience post registration relevant to hospital pharmacy practice with assessed competencies
Salary and Benefits
