About the Role

Dolby Laboratories is seeking a highly skilled Screening Services Engineer to support the London Screening Room in an operational, technical, and administrative capacity. This role involves running DCP and non-DCP screenings, hosting events, and performing regular maintenance to ensure the Screening Room is always in a state of readiness.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the day-to-day operation of the London Screening Room
  • Providing front-of-house and technical support to internal and external clients
  • Scheduling and carrying out regular preventative maintenance, including room checks, audio/video calibration, system/hardware updates, and facilitating third-party support/maintenance as required
  • Managing physical and digital data according to Dolby's content security best practices, maintaining asset tracking systems, performing inventory checks, and managing the receipt and return of client media/assets
  • Assisting with record-keeping, analysis, and resource planning using internal tools such as Salesforce, Smartsheet, and Sharepoint

Additional Responsibilities

The Screening Services Engineer will also provide ad-hoc support in other areas of Technical Operations, including but not limited to:

  • Maintenance/operation of broader technical spaces/labs
  • Data IO
  • KDM creation/distribution
  • Content creation/QC/distribution

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in production/post-production, theatrical
  • A deep understanding of digital cinema, exhibition, and supporting systems/workflows
  • Proficiency in operating digital cinema playback hardware such as Xenon/Laser projectors, DC IMBs, R&S Clipster
  • An understanding of content security best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to interface effectively and professionally with internal and external clients
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure

Practical Requirements

The successful candidate will be required to work evenings and weekends as needed.
