We are Citigroup, Inc.'s Applications and Platform Engineering team, a pioneering group shaping the direction of travel for the Chief Technology Office by defining the tech and engineering strategy for the bank. We are a team of talented engineers, product managers and tech SMEs, taking ambiguous concepts and making them real by engineering cutting-edge products at planetary scale.

Our team is solely focused on modern technology and engineering disciplines such as Generative AI, cloud, security, modern app stacks (with Golang, Gatekeeper), open source and the latest in the Kubernetes ecosystem.

As a key member of our team, you will be working with Generative AI, developing complex architectures or systematically evaluating an LLM's behavior. Ideally, these projects should showcase your exceptional UX sensibility and ability to build fluid, contemporary frontends for Generative AI products that we'll roll out to internal users within Citi.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the 0-1 build of multiple AI Front End products.
  • Design and build high-quality, highly reliable products with user experience at the center.
  • Be responsible for engineering innovative, best-in-class AI interfaces for the bank.
  • Continually iterate and scale Generative AI products, listening to the needs of our customers (internal).
  • Mentor and nurture other engineers to help them grow their skills and expertise.
Requirements:
  • Fluency in React is a must-have, with additional preferences for Python, Javascript/Typescript, Golang or Jamstack applications using technologies such as Node.js, React, Next.js, Vue.js.
  • Understanding of LLMs and UI interfaces for AI products.
  • Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Enzyme).
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ideate, develop & deliver UI/UX.
  • Cross-browser and device testing websites.
  • Leading software engineering practices such as CI/CD, DevOps, Agile.
  • AuthN/AuthZ flows and impact on UI/UX.
  • Micro frontends, SPAs, PWAs.
  • Interest in emerging frontend technologies such as Svelte, WASM, Webpack, Parcel, Vite.
