Postdoctoral Research Associate in Molten Salt Processing

Job Overview
Bangor University is seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our Nuclear Futures Institute. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting high-temperature experiments on molten salts and supporting CALPHAD modeling as part of the EP/X011607/1 project.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead research to identify solutions, implement process controls, and devise tests in working with high-temperature molten salts.
- Support research-based physical measurements with CALPHAD modeling.
- Manage and prioritize own workload within agreed objectives to ensure all activities are completed to deadlines.
- Coordinate and liaise with all members of the project partners to support the achievement of project objectives.
- Contribute as a team member to a broader program of fuel processing, nuclear chemical engineering, and separations.
Requirements
- PhD in a Science or Engineering discipline (or close to completion) or equivalent experience.
- Experience in the planning, design, and execution of experimental studies in molten salts.
- Experience of rig building with respect to molten salt experimental activities.
