We are seeking an exceptional Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Cygnet Elowen Hospital in Derbyshire. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality psychiatric care to patients on our 12-bed female complex personality disorder service.
About the Role- Provide psychiatric care to patients with complex personality disorders and co-morbid disordered eating.
- Work closely with a Specialty Doctor and multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Assess referrals, undertake mental state examinations, and provide comprehensive medical notes.
- Participate in ward rounds, clinical audits, and risk management initiatives.
- Supervise reports for Mental Health Act tribunals and managers hearings.
- Contribute to the development of clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.
- A competitive salary of up to £160,000 per year.

- Knowledgeable of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Capacity.
- A first-rate communicator who can interview, assess, and treat patients and write clear, comprehensive medical notes.
- Committed to continued professional development.
- Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- A member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) or equivalent.
