Job Description

The Instructional Development Specialist will work closely with managers to develop teaching staff through CPD and bespoke tailored support. The role includes teaching duties, curriculum development, departmental organization responsibilities, personal professional development, and marketing/promotion of HRC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment on appropriate subjects/units
  • Contribute to teaching on other programmes as agreed with the line manager
  • Prepare and deliver learning materials and resources

You will have proven experience in supporting teaching staff to success through coaching and mentoring. You will also have experience in internal verification or quality assurance for Teaching, Learning and Assessment, and knowledge of the education Inspection framework and early career teacher framework.

A significant part of the role will be focused on delivering planned, coordinated, and high-quality teaching and assessment on appropriate subjects/units, contributing to teaching on other programmes as agreed with the line manager, and preparing and delivering learning materials and resources.

Requirements

You will need a teacher training qualification such as a PGCE, a Level 3 qualification (or above) in a specialist subject, and an L3 assessors award or be willing to work towards achieving one.

All positions are subject to a DBS clearance check.
