Supporting Students with Special Educational Needs

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Learning Support Assistant (SEN) at The King's School. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs and wants to make a real difference in their lives.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students' learning, attending to pupils' personal needs, and enhancing the development and education of pupils. If you have experience of working with children or young people and are able to work effectively as part of a team, we would love to hear from you.

This is a permanent position, 30 hours per week, term time plus 2 days. We offer a competitive salary of £16,999.00 FTE per annum, generous employer pension, and excellent annual leave entitlements paid as part of your annual salary.

About The Job

The role involves supporting the needs of individual pupils, or small groups of pupils, as directed by teaching staff. You will be responsible for monitoring the behaviour of pupils whilst they are undertaking their work to ensure a constructive environment and dealing with situations arising in accordance with school policies and procedures.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Qualification in supporting pupils in a school setting - Level 2 or Level 3 - Desirable.
  • Understanding the purpose and role of learning support - Essential.
