About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Mental Health Professional, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health services to veterans and service leavers in the North West of England.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct thorough psycho-social assessments of clients referred to the Op Courage Service, identifying their needs and developing collaborative care plans.
  2. Provide case management and brief interventions for clients with moderate and complex mental health problems, focusing on Military attributable needs and risk to self or others.
  3. Ensure timely referrals to safeguarding children or vulnerable adults, as required.
  4. Maintain accurate electronic records using the PC-MIS web-based clinical system, adhering to agreed protocols and Trust policies.
  5. Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and concise documentation.
  6. Participate in clinical and management supervision, adhering to the NMC Code of Conduct.
Requirements
  • RMN or MHSW qualification
  • Short course and experience to post-grad diploma level
  • Experience working within an NHS community setting
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Previous experience working with Military veterans
  • Managed a complex community caseload
  • Knowledge of Primary Care Mental Health and delivery of brief interventions
  • Certificate or diploma in CBT or counselling, or CPD in Primary Care Mental Health
  • Experience working with individuals who have drug and/or alcohol problems, including models of care and the recovery and abstinence agenda
